2003 Highlights: Appeared in 48 games this season, starting in 34 outings...batting .345 (39-for-113) with one home run, 17 RBI and 29 runs scored...owns a .444 on-base percentage with 18 walks and three hit-by-pitches...swiped a team-high 13 bases on 19 attempts...is currently tied for fourth in school history with a career batting average of .354...went 1-for-3 with two RBI in the season opener at Arkansas on March 1st...tabbed a career-best four hits versus IPFW on April 27th...hit his first career home run in a pinch-hitting role in the Flames’ win over Chicago State on March 31st.

2002 Highlights: Appeared in 32 games primarily as a defensive replacement, while earning a starting nod in six games…batted .800 in Horizon League action…stole home and drove in a run in a 11-6 victory over UW-Milwaukee on May 18th…was fourth on the team with batting average of .382…stole five bases in five attempts…finished season with the fourth best on-base percentage of .450…went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a 16-11 loss against Valparaiso on April 25th.

Prep/Personal: Helped Homewood-Flossmoor to an impressive 30-4 overall record in 1999 as he batted .395 with 50 runs scored, 38 hits and 21 runs driven in…extra-base hits included six doubles and six home runs…stole 10 bases in 11 attempts…set a Vikings' single-season school record with his 50 runs scored as a senior…earned SICA East All-Conference honors as well as all-area recognition from the Illinois Times…as a junior, hit compiled a .328 batting average with 11 hits, 15 runs scored and six RBI…swiped four bases in four attempts…a starter in every game as a freshman and sophomore, he led the team for batting average (.468) and stolen bases as a freshman and in RBI's as a sophomore…was also the Vikings' quarterback on the football team for two seasons…born August 8, 1981…son of Jay and Cindy Carey…plans to pursue an Athletic Training degree.
