Who Is The Fury?
The Fury is the official student booster club of the University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Athletics.

The success of any Athletics Department is dependent upon its supporters. The University of Illinois at Chicago plays at the highest level of collegiate athletics - Division I. At this level of play, you can expect to watch future NBA stars compete in our backyard at the UIC Pavilion.

The strongest supporters of UIC men's basketball are known as the Fury - a boisterous group of students who enjoy cheering on the Flames all season long. These students can provide a memorable experience for all fans of the University of Illinois at Chicago. A loud student-section can help make the difference between a win or a loss.

All UIC students can join the Fury. There are currently more than 1,900 students who are members.

This year, the Fury looks to accomplish the following goals:

• Increase student spirit on campus and at all Flames athletic events
• Create the most exciting and intimidating atmosphere at our home, the UIC Pavilion, on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago
• Provide an excellent opportunity to meet people through a shared interest in athletics

Where Does The Fury Sit?
At Men's Basketball games, the Fury sits in Section 111 at the UIC Pavilion. This is where we receive the most television exposure and can make the biggest impact on the game. At other Flames competitions, the Fury is seated up close and personal with all of the action.

Special Benefits of Fury Membership
In the past, Fury members have received complimentary admission to post-season tournament play - compliments of the UIC Department of Athletics.

During the 2004-2005 season, Fury members were eligible for discounted chartered bus transportation to the Horizon League Tournament in Milwaukee, WI. Fury members should expect more of the same for the 2005-2006 season.

Fury Volunteers Needed
The Fury is in need of volunteers who are looking to spread their love of UIC Athletics. There are various events throughout the school year when the Fury needs volunteers who can help pass out flyers, schedule cards, and other promotional items. The positions are laid-back and fun; they involve talking to other students and informing them of upcoming events.

We are looking for motivated students who want to contribute to the success of the Fury and UIC Athletics. This is a voluntary position, but it is very fun and rewarding. You will have the opportunity to meet influential people on campus, and this will definitely enhance your total college experience.
